The 2015 St. Clairion “Clairity” won several regional, state and national awards recently.


At the Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence Contest, the St. Clair yearbook staff had five national winners and two sweepstakes winners.

At the National Scholastic Press Association, they won first place in critique and two awards of Distinction.

At the American Scholastic Press Association, they won first place in critique.


At the Southern Interscholastic Press Association’s Best Writing Contest, Clairity won first place in community; second place in academics and theme; and third place in sports and theme.


At the Alabama Scholastic Press Association awards, SCCHS won six first place awards; six second place awards and four third place awards.

They had category sweeps in People and Caption Writing.

“I am so proud of the St. Clairion staff,” adviser Mary Morrow said. “They worked so hard, and it is nice that their work was recognized. I was so fortunate to work with such a dedicated and talented staff.”
