PELL CITY -- The holiday spirit was alive and well in Pell City on Thursday night for the 2018 Christmas parade.
The procession made its way down Cogswell Avenue to the Fire Station No. 1. Entrants in this year’s parade showed their stuff before a panel of judges set up in front of the St. Clair County Courthouse.
Bands from Pell City High School and Duran Middle School performed for the crowd, while dance teams brought their own tracks. Big rig trucks pulled trailers of costumed characters waving and tossing candy to the children lined up along the route.
And, of course, to complete the Christmas parade was Santa Claus himself atop a big red Pell City fire engine, wishing all a “Very, Merry Christmas!”
