One stop at Pell City’s Alfa Insurance Agency on Martin Street South is all it takes to meet any of your insurance needs.
Alfa’s insurance services have expanded into the area of healthcare providers, connecting with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama for customer care, said agent Brooke Tollison.
Individual and family coverage is provided by consulting with Alfa health insurance specialist Janet Bradford, who is based in the company’s Montgomery headquarters, Tollison said.
Tollison, along with agent Jim Wilson, work closely with Bradford’s team to determine health care needs and preferences for those seeking coverage.
There are many plans and variables for coverage, and these can become an easier task to navigate with the help of Alfa’s team of insurance professionals, Tollison said.
In addition to individual coverage plans, Alfa works with Blue Cross to offer supplements for those who receive Medicare benefits, with coverage for hospital and medical costs, prescription drugs, vision and hearing benefits, along with fitness membership options.
In addition, there are supplements for prescription drugs to fill in gaps when there’s a Medicare limit.
Plans may cover preventive services and immunizations, laboratory services and diabetes supplies, home healthcare, routine eye exams and an eyewear allowance.
Alfa’s insurance services also include complete coverage for autos and homes, a variety of life insurance options, farm coverage and business policies and dental coverage.
All of your insurance concerns can all be addressed by meeting with Alfa agents and specialty support professionals, Tollison said. She and Alfa’s network of representatives will meet you to make your decisions clear and personalized.
“This is one of the things I really enjoy about being in this field and the setting we have in our Alfa offices and headquarters,” she said. “I am a people person, and these matters are very important concerns for our clients.”
Tollison grew up in Hokes Bluff and came to St. Clair County with her husband, Jim Tollison, who is a native of Pell City.
She is a graduate of the Alabama School of Math and Science and received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University and her master’s degree in business administration from Jacksonville State University.
“At Alfa, we are a resource for helping people, and I’m a people person,” she said. “We work to help people determine what they need in their insurance decisions, and we want to be sure that when they leave our offices, they are happy and feel they have made the decisions they want with the information they need.”
