MONTGOMERY – The Class 5A state softball championship is now down to four teams, and two of the four teams are Moody and Springville.
After both teams advanced with first round victories, they faced each other in the second round. Moody beat Springville 5-3 and was scheduled to face Rehobeth at 9 a.m. with the winner advancing to the championship round.
With the loss to Moody, Springville played an elimination game Wednesday night, defeating Mortimer Jordan 4-3. The Lady Tigers were scheduled to face Alexandria today at 10:45 a.m. Springville defeated Alexandria 3-0 Wednesday in the opening round.
