Jim Searcy, Executive Director of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, spoke to the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) recently at the Trussville Civic Center.

Searcy spoke about the positive impact the automotive industry has had on the state of Alabama. Because of that positive impact many other companies are moving or have moved their operations to Alabama. For example, Airbus has invested $600 million in their new facility in Mobile, which should be completed in 2015.

The chamber also recognized its June Customer Service Award recipient Edward Ballard, who works at the Trussville Office Depot store.
