SYLACAUGA -- The Sylacauga Housing Authority hosted a Youth Development Basketball Camp on Thursday, June 20, through Saturday, June 22, at the Verlie B. Collins Community Center.

The camp drew about 40 boys and girls both Thursday and Friday, with even more expected Saturday.

The three-day camp, partnered through Basketball Brotherhood, was open to boys and girls in grades 2-12 and provided participants with the opportunity to learn basketball skills and develop leadership abilities.

The camp also allowed for opportunities for people to volunteer assisting in running drills and other various support tasks.
