CHILDERSBURG -- Summer may be winding down for the kids with ringing school bells just around the corner, but there's still time to have some fun.

The Childersburg Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Day Camp for kids hosted 65 youngsters ages 4-12 throughout the break. The campers participated in arts and crafts, games, field trips to DeSoto Caverns, a live reptile show, and for the last week, waterslides and bounce houses.

Friday will bring the Summer Day Camp to a close, but it will go out with a back-to-school barbecue cookout Friday with even more fun to be had.
