TALLADEGA -- A two-vehicle accident in Talladega on Friday afternoon sent three people to the hospital.

According to police Capt. John McCoy, the accident occurred around 2 p.m. between Terra and Hyde lanes on Alabama 21 South. The first vehicle was a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Emily Wyatt, 70, of Lincoln.

The second vehicle was a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice driven by Ada Jackson, 65, of Sycamore. McCoy said Wyatt was southbound when she crossed the median and struck Jackson’s vehicle, which was heading in the opposite direction, on the passenger side.

Wyatt was transported to the emergency room at Brookwood Baptist Health Center/Citizens Baptist Medical Center by NorthStar Ambulance. Jackson and a passenger in her vehicle, Tierra Wood, were also transported to the emergency room by Lincoln EMS, McCoy said.

No information on the condition of any of the injured parties was available Monday.
