PELL CITY -- The Pell City High School Future Business Leaders of America next Thursday will bring competition to the stage at the Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts during the inaugural Trivia Takedown.

Teams will go head-to-head at 6:30 p.m. in the CEPA theater in intense and fast-paced Jeopardy-style matches until there is only one team remaining. Each team has the chance to fight their way to the top and win a grand prize.

“These students put their minds together to come up with a different approach at fundraising for their trip this summer,” said FBLA Club Sponsor Danielle Pope. “Several different ideas were thrown around, but I believe that this trivia match is a great opportunity for our community to come together and have fun all while supporting a cause.”

This event is open to the community.

FBLA is asking local friends and organizations to create teams consisting of four to five players, and asking for a $100 entry fee per team.

Entry forms are available by emailing,  and entry fees can be mailed to Pell City High School FBLA, 1300 Cogswell Ave., Pell City, AL 35125 or delivered to the front office at the high school.

All proceeds benefit the FBLA’s 2017 trip to Anaheim, Calif., to compete in the National Leadership Conference, where members test their knowledge and skills through competitive events, share successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their careers through workshops and exhibits.
