LINCOLN -- The Lincoln Bottle Show was back and even bigger than before Saturday at the Lincoln Civic Center.
Collectors, hobbyists and enthusiasts from all over the Southeast and some from as far as New York came to show their collections and talk with fellow collectors.
Jake Smith, of Talladega, organizes the event every year and says it's all about sharing knowledge and getting others started in collecting themselves. Free bottles were available for kids to begin their bottle collecting, as were free appraisals and information for anyone wishing to bring in a bottle or other antique collectible.
Smith expected 600 visitors to the 50 booths set up by vendors and collectors showcasing antiques, ceramics, signs, prints and many many bottles.
