MUNFORD -- Talladega County sheriff’s deputies are looking for suspects in the theft of two all-terrain vehicles and a utility trailer from a residence in Munford.

According to the incident and offense report, the stolen property was described as a blue 2017 Polaris RZR 4 XP High Lifter valued at $27,110, a white 2017 Polaris RZR XP 1000 two-seater side-by-side valued at $19,334 and a single axle utility trailer with a wooden floor and a high gate on the back valued at $1,129. The items were taken between 5:30 p.m. March 1 and 9:30 a.m. March 2.

According to Sgt. Mike Jones, one of the ATVs was on the utility trailer when it was stolen, but the report is not clear on which one.

The property was stolen shortly after the house on Pine Street in Munford burned on the morning of March 1, Jones said. The house was a total loss, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation this week.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were no witnesses or suspects in the case, which is being handled as a theft of property in the first degree.

Theft of property in the first degree is a class B felony in Alabama, punishable upon conviction by two to 20 years in prison.
