Talladega student art contest winners

The Talladega City School Board during a recent meeting honored the winners of the Alabama State Department of Education’s annual art contest. In the photo artists Lydia Parkinson (fourth grade, C.L. Salter), Carly Layfield (sixth grade, R.L. Young), Kyndall Griffin (fourth grade, Houston) and Tanauria Swain (fourth grade, Houston), along with board members Mary McGhee, James Braswell, board secretary Lenita Knight, Superintendent Terry Roller and Board Chairman Jake Montgomery.

Not pictured are artists Kailee Curry-Kee (second grade, Salter), Olivia Sullivan (eighth grade, Zora Ellis), Richard Carter (eighth grade, Zora Ellis), Lynzee Sullivan (fifth grade, R.L. Young), Jaidyn Hall (sixth grade, Graham Elementary), Gracie Bright  (sixth grade, Graham), Amber Tisch (12th grade, Talladega High) and Ashanti Moten (10th grade, Talladega High). The paintings will be displayed in Montgomery, and winners will be announced at various grade levels.
