SYLACAUGA -- The Marble City will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade on Monday, Nov. 12, in honor of those who served our country.
The city of Sylacauga is sponsoring the parade in downtown. It will begin at 10 a.m., with the line-up starting at 8:30 at Legion Stadium.
Grand marshals will be World War II veterans.
A hamburger and hot dog cookout will immediately follow the event at American Legion Post 45 at 1 S. Hammett Ave., behind the National Guard Armory.

All entries must be decorated with the colors red, white and blue and must display the American flag.
The parade units will begin on Broadway Avenue at Sylacauga High School, travel south to First Street, turn right onto First Street for one block and turn right onto Norton Avenue and return to the rear of Sylacauga High. Bands and walkers may disburse at the Ollie’s parking lot.
