SYLACAUGA – Plans are underway for the 2016 Veterans Day Parade. The parade will be Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. It will begin at Sylacauga High School and will travel south on Broadway Avenue to First Street, where it will turn right and go to Norton Avenue and travel north back to Sylacauga High School. 

The parade is sponsored by the city of Sylacauga and the American Legion Post 945.

The B.B. Comer Memorial High School Sound of Gold Band and the Sylacauga High School Marching Aggie Band will both appear in the parade.

Following the parade, a program honoring veterans will be at the American Legion building off Fort Williams Street.

All local veterans, churches, civic organizations and interested groups are encouraged to participate. All entries must be decorated with the colors of red, white and blue and must display the American flag.
