SYLACAUGA -- A bus driver who was driving erratically Tuesday morning in the Marble City was taken the doctor as a result of his behavior.
Sylacauga City Schools Superintendent Dr. Jon Segars said Wednesday afternoon the driver had been seen by several driving across the center line.
Officers pulled the bus over, and after a field sobriety test, which he passed, the driver was taken to the hospital, Segars said.
“The driver was tested for drugs. No drugs were found in his system. He is not driving until further medical tests are completed,” the school superintendent said.
Segars said the school system is awaiting the results from those tests before any decisions are going to be made.
“We don’t have a lot of anything else right now,” he indicated.
