TALLADEGA -- “Mini” cheerleaders took to the court at Talladega High School on Saturday to participate in the second cheerleading camp hosted by the varsity and junior varsity cheer squads.

Twenty young girls from pre-K through 6th grade attended the one-day class, which will perform a choreographed dance before the next Talladega home football game, Friday, Sept. 14, vs. Elmore County.

Varsity cheerleaders led their “mini’s” through cheers, dances, tumbling, and stunts.

Coach Jennifer Gunn described the class as a great way to build the community of interested young girls, getting them involved and learning from the cheerleaders side by side. For more photos from the camp, see Wednesday’s Daily Home.
