Casadys celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Ann Casady and her husband, the Rev. William Casady, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 25 with family and friends at Lloyd’s Restaurant in Birmingham.

The Rev. and Mrs. William Casady, of Childersburg, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at Lloyd’s Restaurant in Birmingham on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Family and friends were present to share in the fun time and recall memories of years past.

The Casadays were married Aug. 23, 1958, in the bride’s hometown of Robertsdale, Alabama. They have three children: Bill and his wife, Kathy; Cindy Allen, and her husband, Mark; and Allen and his wife, Beth.

They have eight grandchildren: Jordan Casady and his wife, Melissa; Kaitlyn Beal and her husband, Cliff; Caroline Casaday; Wesley Allen and his wife, Kim; Reid Allen; Leah Allen; Mallory Allen; and David Casady.

They have two great-grandchildren, Isabelle Casady and Anabelle Casady.

Out-of-town guests included Lou Anne Allen, of Alpine; Dell Griggs and his son, Ronald, of Alabaster; Judy Peters, of Albertville; Justin Hirtle from Gardendale; and Maddie Trimble, of Clanton, Mississippi.


The Rev. Casaday has pastored churches for more than 60 years. He served as director of mission in Talladega County for the Coosa River Baptist Association and is presently pastoring Cartersville Baptist Church in Alpine.
