Lincoln 9-11 Observance

The Lincoln Fire Department parked its ladder truck at the entrance of the Lincoln schools Tuesday. The truck was flying the United States flag in honor of the lives lost during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist  attacks.

LINCOLN -- The Lincoln Fire Department parked its ladder truck at the entrance of the Lincoln schools Tuesday.

The truck was flying the United States flag in honor of the lives lost during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist  attacks.

Nearly 3,000 people died during the attacks, including 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers who died in the World Trade Center and on the ground in New York City.
