Prostate, lung cancer awareness luncheon held in Pell City

The Blue & White Prostate & Lung Cancer Awareness Luncheon was Tuesday at the Pell City Civic Center with 120 people in attendance. Among them was Bert Moore, a 14-year prostate cancer survivor. Dr. Tyler Poston from the Urology Centers of Alabama, and Ashley Lyerly, American Lung Association regional director of public policy for the Southeast Region, were the guest speakers. Lee Ann Clark, county extension coordinator for St. Clair County, said she heard so many positive and encouraging comments about the luncheon. She said if just one life can be saved as a result of this luncheon, she will be thrilled.
