SYLACAUGA -- ChristPoint Community Church is hosting its annual Prayer Pumpkin Festival in Noble Park on Saturday.
This is the seventh year for the festival, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Each year, the event draws more than 1,500 visitors, and this year, organizers hope to see the festival continue to grow, surpassing those numbers.
ChristPoint Church Pastor Bryan Taunton said many look forward to this event and return year after year for prayer and a pumpkin.
The first 250 families will receive a free pumpkin.
“We count it as a wonderful blessing to provided this event to our city residents,” he said.
There will be lots of goodies and vendors for those attending.
There will be inflatables, live music, popcorn, snacks and drinks. Families can enjoy hay rides and get a free fall family portrait. You can register to win the giant 50-pound pumpkin.
Also, the public can give blood to LifeSouth.
