Photos: Firefighters train in Waldo
Waldo Fire Department hosted a Vehicle Extrication Class through Alabama Fire College Saturday. The training brought 28 first responders from several fire departments including Waldo, Munford, Fayetteville, Hollins, Shinbone Valley, Attalla, Ironaton, Eastaboga, and Renfroe.
The firefighters received hands on training with Amkus extrication tools. Chris Hawkins of Central Alabama Training Solutions led the training teaching firefighters how to properly use the battery powered tools to quickly and safely extricate wreck victims from their vehicles.
Hindman’s Wrecks Service and Twin Creeks Towing provided the wrecked vehicles for the firefighters raining.
