ST. CLAIR COUNTY -- Two men were arrested June 11 and charged with trafficking marijuana.
St. Clair County Assistant Sheriff Billy Murray said the charge of trafficking marijuana is a first-degree felony. He identified the men as Luan Anh Tran, 44, of Jefferson, Indiana, and Gerald J. Salvall, 70, of Birmingham.
“The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency conducted a drug trafficking investigation in the Argo/Odenville area of St. Clair County,” Murray said. “The investigation led to a traffic stop and seizure of several pounds of marijuana.”
Murray said Tran and Salvall were transported to the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville with no bond.
“I want to thank the Argo Police Department for its assistance on these arrests,” Murray said.
