The victim in the case, a 34-year-old male, said he was walking to his mailbox on Landers Loop outside of Sylacauga on the evening of Jan. 4 when he spotted the suspect walking by in the street.

As he was walking away, the victim said the suspect showed him a handgun and demanded he hand over his wedding ring and wallet. The wallet contained cash and a debit card, according to an incident and offense report filed by the victim.
