A group of Pell City parents raised more than $8,000 to place banners featuring pictures of each member of Pell City High School’s senior class along Highway 231. The parents felt this would be a way to honor the graduating seniors who have missed the last of their senior year due the COVID-19 pandemic. The banners were erected on Highway 231 on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, with the help of Pell City Schools maintenance workers, Pell City Fire Marshal Caleb Walker, Pell City fire Chief Tim Kurzejeski, and two PCHS graduating seniors, Braeden Masters and Brett Staples, who work for Goodgame Construction.
