Cole Limbaugh increased his lead to five shots in the third round of the River Run Disc Golf Open on Wednesday in Childersburg.

The Samford pitcher went 16 under par Thursday to put him at 50 under par for the tournament.

Jacob Ozment is still in second place, but he trails by five strokes going into the final round. Ozment said it will be tough to come back from five strokes down, but it can be done.

Ozment shot a 14 under par in the third round, and for the tournament he is 45 under par.

The most interesting competition is for third place going into today’s final round. Reeves Brashear had a big day on the course Wednesday, moving from last place to third place in two rounds. The rising freshman at Southern Union went 12 under par on Wednesday to force a four-way tie.

Dosson Stubblefield, Colby Brashear and Josh Humber will try to catch Reeves Brashear for third.

Ozment said donations have come in support for ovarian cancer awareness and eating disorder awareness. The donations will be presented to a representative from each organization after the championship match.

He also hopes that this tournament will bring awareness to the game of disc golf.

The final round of the tournament will start at 5:45 p.m. today in the River Run neighborhood of Childersburg.
