The Winterboro Bulldogs' girls basketball team captured the Talladega County championship for the first time in school history Saturday. The Bulldogs took down county rival Talladega County Central 60-54 Saturday at Winterboro High School.
It was also the first time two small schools made the finals of the Talladega County Basketball Championship. Winterboro’s Katelyn Brown was named offensive Most Valuable Player while teammate (and sister!) Kya Brown won defensive MVP. Winterboro remains undefeated on the season with a record of 15-0.
