SYLACAUGA – The Isabel Anderson Comer Museum’s May art exhibit is “Sisters,” featuring artwork by sisters Cheryl Eyster, Billie Cleckler and Sue Ridley, according to a press release.
Eyster has worked for the ARC of South Talladega County for 15 years and has volunteered there for 30. She and her sister, Billie Cleckler, volunteer every Tuesday creating art with the ARC adults.
Eyster is also an active Comer Museum board member.
Cleckler is a retired nurse who worked in hospitals and home care facilities for 43 years.
Ridley has worked at Bowater for the past 30 years.
“All three sisters are gifted with creative talents, painting in several mediums and content, collage, jewelry and crafts of all kinds,” said Donna Rentfrow, museum director, in the release.
"Sisters" in on view now through May 30.
The Artists Reception will be Thursday, May 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Entertainment will be music by the Nashville (Tennessee) Songwriters of Sylacauga and readings by members of the Central Alabama Writers Guild and Alliance.
The public is welcome and admission is free.
Light refreshments will be served. Donations are welcome.
