TALLADEGA -- Clint Johnson will be the featured speaker for The Daughters of College City Temple #823's Black History Program on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Long Street in Talladega. The public is invited to attend.
The theme of the presentation will be "Aspire to Inspire -Dream! And a Little Child Shall Lead."
Johnson is the founder and CEO of Courage to Encourage. He serves as the interventionist for the Talladega City school system and also works with the Talladega Juvenile Diversion Program as a case manager for SAFE (Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement).
As the driving force behind “Violence Interrupters,” a grassroots organization, Johnson is the architect of the Talladega Crime Prevention and Reduction Plan. This plan is designed specifically to suggest better ways to communicate, create relationships and establish opportunities for youth to become more productive residents in the community.
Youth from area schools and churches will also perform songs, praise dances and poetry.
