TALLADEGA -- The city of Talladega will host an E-Recycling Day for spring 2018 on Friday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on Battle Street.

Virtually any electronic item can be dropped off and recycled, according to a flier.

“Computers, hard drives, monitors, keyboards, cables, power supplies, fax machines, printers, copiers, telephones, cellphones, scanners, battery backups, printer cartridges, filing cabinets, televisions, Christmas lights, household appliances, irons, hair dryers, dishwashers, VCRs, DVD players and extension cords,” are among the items that will be accepted, according to the flier.

“If it plugs in, we recycle it,” the flier says.

All items are free to drop off, but hard drive shredding is offered only at the owner’s expense.

Recycling is provided by Protec Recycling.
