PELL CITY -- The First United Methodist Church recently released the names of speakers though August for Sunday Sunrise Services at the Chapel in the Pines.
This Sunday, the Rev. Branson Isley with Lawley’s Chapel United Methodist Church is first on the lineup. The following Sunday, Bishop Maurice Keller with Greater New Destiny Church is slated to speak.
Keller will be followed by the Rev. Dale Foote with Seddon Baptist Church, July 29; the Rev. Dr. Clinton Hubbard, district superintendent of the United Methodist Church, Aug. 5; the Rev. Belinda Rives with Pell City First United Methodist Church, Aug. 12; Deacon Surge Brazzolotto with Our Lady of the Lake Church, Aug. 19; and the Rev. Donald Gover, Life Family Worship Center, Aug. 26.
The Sunday morning services are held in the Chapel in the Pines amphitheater in Pell City Lakeside Park during the summer months. Services start at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday.
Church officials said Chapel in the Pines is a casual worship service, which residents can either drive or boat to. The amphitheater overlooks Logan Martin Lake, and Lakeside Park provides parking facilities, as well as boat slips, for participants.
