MUNFORD -- A house at 40 Pine Street in Munford caught fire just after 11 a.m. today.

The call came in around 11:15 a.m., according to Munford Police Chief Jeff Rutledge.

Rutledge said that all occupants inside the home were able to escape without injury, and that the fire is likely to have started in the pantry.

The structure is also expected to be deemed a total loss, the chief said. Members of the Munford Fire, Ironaton Volunteer Fire, East Providence Fire and Munford Police departments are still at the scene.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, and no further information was immediately available.
