The Aljerald Powers Memorial Lodge/Plank Road Station in Winterboro was alive recently with “living antiques” and songs from a time long past. Julie Moon and the Bluegrass Connection played and sang historical songs from the 1800s, classics from Grand Ole Opry stars, and other favorites for the community crowd. Those who attended had concessions and drinks while they enjoyed the performance. The wooden planks and walls of the historic building soaked in the tones of guitar and mandolin strings as the guests sang into the night.
