Childhood Cancer Awareness Month logo

SYLACAUGA – Blue Bell Creameries and Heritage South Credit Union are asking businesses and homes in the community to “Go Gold,” according to a press release.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and in recognition and support of Ribbons of Hope’s Emma Grace Mitchell Childhood Cancer Research Program, the two businesses and Ribbons of Hope are asking businesses and homes to purchase gold ribbons.

The ribbons will be displayed on doors or mailboxes for a minimum $20 donation.

One hundred percent of the donation will go to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Research Center in the field of pediatric cancer with Children’s Hospital. It is also tax deductible.
