TALLADEGA -- The Talladega Christmas Parade brought out a big crowd Friday along the route down Battle Street and around the square.

The parade started with a long line of fire trucks from the surrounding area, followed by grand marshal Sadie Curry. The parade included well over 100 entries, including the Talladega High, Talladega County Central High and Alabama School for the Blind bands.

The parade was the prelude to Christmas on the Square, which began immediately after and will run through Sunday. Sunday’s Christmas on the Square hours will be noon to 6 p.m.
