Good morning, Gamecock fans. It’s time for another edition of The Star’s Jacksonville State newsletter.

Jacksonville State’s football team upset Florida State on Saturday on the final play of the game, a 59-yard catch and run by wide receiver Damond Philyaw-Johnson. The Gamecocks play their first home game this weekend against North Alabama.

JSU’s volleyball team won all four of its matches last week, and senior setter Lexie Libs was named the ASUN Conference volleyball player of the week.
