TUSCUMBIA — Johnathon Cobb scored three touchdowns in the second quarter to lead Saks to a 56-0 win over Colbert Heights in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs Friday.

In the second round, the Wildcats (9-1) will host Fultondale, which beat Plainview 37-6 on Friday.

Cobb’s touchdown runs covered 32, 1 and 30 yards. Daveon Dukes scored twice for the Wildcats. His 2-yard touchdown as the first-half expired gave Saks a 42-0 halftime lead. Dukes added a 63-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

T.J. Gibbs and Tony Hunley each scored in the first quarter. Gibbs 11-yard run got the Wildcats on the board. After the Wildcats recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, Hunley scored from 3 yards out less than two minutes later.

Kamori Wilson-Hall capped Saks’ scoring with a 69-yard fumble return.
