SPRING GARDEN — A loss doesn’t sit well Jason Howard. Just look at Spring Garden’s 33-0 win over Winterboro, which comes on the heels of a season-opening loss at Cedar Bluff.

The Bulldogs will be dreaming about Ryley Kirk until next Friday night as he threw an 89-yard touchdown strike to Gaines Petty to start the night before tossing a second one to Gaines late in the second quarter as the Panthers led 14-0 at halftime.

It took late in the third quarter until Spring Garden scored again, but, like the first half, it was a touchdown pass from Kirk, who found Cooper Austin, with 4:16 left in the quarter. Andrew Floyd (11 yards) and Luke Welsh (4 yards) added fourth-quarter to give the Panthers their first win of the season before heading to Notasulga next week.
