NOTEWORTHY: The Tigers’ magic number to clinch at least a share of their third SEC championship in program history (1960, 1999) is one, so if Auburn defeats South Carolina or Tennessee loses to Georgia, the Tigers will clinch at least a share of the regular-season SEC title. An Auburn win combined with a Tennessee loss would give the Tigers the championship outright. ... Bruce Pearl is looking to join Eddie Fogler (Vanderbilt 1993 and South Carolina 1997) as the only head coaches to lead two schools to a regular-season SEC title. Pearl won an SEC championship at Tennessee in 2008. ... Pearl is 13-5 against South Carolina, including a 1-3 mark in his time at Auburn. Pearl was 12-2 against the Gamecocks in his six seasons at Tennessee. ... Auburn’s 14 home wins this season are tied with the 2011-12 Tigers for the most wins in the eight-year history of Auburn Arena. In 15 games this season, Auburn is beating teams by an average of 17.3 points a game this season at home.
