NOTEWORTHY: Auburn sophomore guard Mustapha Heron was named the SEC Player of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the league office Monday. Heron is the first Auburn player to earn two player-of-the-week accolades from the conference since Korvotney Barber during the 2006-07 season. He is the fourth player in program history to earn two weekly honors in the same season. ... Auburn leads the SEC and is 10th nationally averaging 86.0 points a game, which puts the Tigers on pace to be the Southeastern Conference’s highest-scoring team since Kentucky in 1996 (91.4). … Auburn has scored 90 points three times in SEC play for the second straight season. Before last season, the Tigers scored 90 points in a regular season SEC game just seven times over the previous 17 seasons combined. ... Auburn is one win away from its 10th 20-win season in program history and first since 2008-09. ... Ole Miss has taken the last eight decisions in Oxford, dating back to 2008. ... The Rebels, without leading scorer, Deandre Burnett, blew a 10-point halftime lead as Auburn outscored the Rebels 50-25 in the second half to lead to a resounding 85-70 win as six players scored in double-figures.
