The most recent Something To Do Sunday was this past weekend at Norwood Hodges Community Center and featured the debut of Anniston Parks & Recreation Department's new "Something To Do Sundays" Trailer.
The trailer is essentially a mobile park, equipped with games, sporting equipment, arts and crafts — everything needed for an afternoon of fun outside.
Parks & Rec Director also took the opportunity to recognize four young ladies — Alayna Pernell, Jamicia Gay, Bavaria Newton and Patricia Pickens — all went through the Good Choices program and are now college graduates, each on the path to bright careers.
Following a presentation on the importance of responsibility, the youth spent the afternoon learning and playing tennis, golf, football, cornhole and Connect Four. The two-hour event concluded with snacks in the dining hall of the community center.
The next Something To Do Sunday is June 23 at Norwood Park.
