For non-believers on global warming, here are some facts.

Both the extent and thickness of arctic sea ice has declined rapidly over the last decades, scientists say. Record high temperatures in the United States have been increasing annually. Record rainfalls, tornadoes, hurricanes are also on the rise. Glaciers are retreating.

Scientists also say the warming trend is 95 percent the result of human activity since the mid-20th century, and by 2040 we may have a completely ice-free summer in the arctic.

We could have large-scale food and water shortages and devastating effects on wildlife due to global warming.

Global warming can be stopped but it will take changes in lifestyle and consumption patterns first, to name a few. The world would need to participate.
