Most of us are in the wrong business.

Some of us are bankers, or entrepreneurs, or cashiers, or doctors, or policemen, or factory workers, or teachers, or, yes, journalists. Love your work, we say.

We should have gone into chocolate.

This Valentine’s Day, an estimated $16.1 billion of chocolate confectionery products will be shipped by U.S. manufacturers, the U.S. Department of Commerce says. (Close behind, and still in the billions, are non-chocolate goodies, jewelry and silverware.)

Think about that Wednesday when you’re delivering the goods to your sweetie. You’re contributing to someone’s richness.
