The violent deaths of President John F. Kennedy, civil rights hero Martin Luther King and presidential candidate Robert Kennedy and the attempted assassinations of former Alabama Gov. George Wallace and former presidents Gerald R. Ford and Ronald Reagan nearly ripped the heart and soul out of our nation.
