Editorial: Alabama Gov. Ivey’s soothing words matter after devastating tornado in rural Calhoun County

“Ohatchee is forever on the map now — unfortunately,” Gov. Kay Ivey said Monday as she toured the rural Calhoun County community devastated by Thursday’s tornado.

Five were killed in the storm, including a family of three — Barbara Harris, her husband, Joe Wayne Harris, and their daughter, Ebonique Harris.
