Second half rally earns Ranburne homecoming win

All the excitement at halftime of Ranburne’s homecoming football game Friday revolved around the crowning of senior Abigail Howle as homecoming queen. In the home dressing room, the Bulldogs were trying to digest a 22-point halftime deficit.

Abigail Howle was crowned the 2021 Ranburne High Homecoming Queen by the 2020 queen Julianna Merrill.

Visiting Vincent had returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in just 12 seconds of clock time. The Bulldogs needed almost five minutes to respond. Carson Hall moved from guard to tailback and plunged across Vincent’s goal line on the first of his three 2-yard scoring runs with 7:00 left in the first quarter.
