Officials with Ulta Beauty recently announced that the cosmetics retailer will hold a grand opening at its Oxford Commons location Sept. 7.
“Our Ulta Beauty experts are excited to bring the fun of beauty to Oxford beauty lovers,” Casey Foxen, who manages all grand openings for Ulta Beauty, was quoted as saying in a news release.
The doors will open at 10 a.m. According to the release, the first 100 guests each day on Sept. 7, 8 and 9 will receive a “beauty treat” valued $5 to $100 and can choose from 10 percent off their first salon appointment at the Salon at Ulta Beauty or first facial appointment at the Skin Bar at Ulta Beauty.
The news from Ulta comes as Moe’s Southwest Grill opened July 26 at the Oxford Commons.
The development had been set to open in fall of 2016, but construction had been sporadic because the developer, Kentucky-based White Reach Development, had trouble financing all of the work.
Mayor Alton Craft said in a July email that the openings are a result of the city’s focus to continually improve and boost its shopping and retail options.
Craft wrote that according to Oxford’s Finance Department, the city's tax revenue is projected to increase by more $1 million once all available locations at the Oxford Commons have operated for 12 months.
