An Ohatchee woman remained in the Etowah County Jail Tuesday charged with endangering her unborn child after she admitted to a Sardis police officer she’d used drugs, officials said.

Haley Michelle Fischetti, 27, was arrested on Sep. 6 after she was pulled over for speeding and driving under the influence, according to jail records.

When Fischetti was arrested, she told the officer she used heroin, methamphetamine, and several different opioids, Etowah County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Natalie Barton wrote in a news release. Fischetti tested positive for meth, an opioid and amphetamine, Barton wrote.

Fischetti’s bond was set at $10,000 cash, and she was ordered to attend a drug treatment program, according to court records. Sardis police charged Fischetti with speeding, driving under the influence and having an open container, according to jail records. She also has a hold on her for a charge or charges in Jefferson County, Barton wrote.
