A single-vehicle crash on Alabama 77 left one man dead and a teenager injured Tuesday morning.

Robert Bryan Howard, 57, of Jacksonville died when his 1996 Dodge Ram left the road and overturned 10 miles south of Ohatchee, according to a news release from Alabama State Troopers. Cpl. Jimmy Harrell said the driver did not use a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

One injured passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was taken by air to UAB Hospital, according to the release.

The release said troopers were continuing to investigate the crash.
