A woman was arrested on Sunday after allegedly entering a Jamback Road home through a window and attacking a couple with a metal pole, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, Brittney Nicole Knight, 23, of Heflin, removed a window air conditioning unit around 10:30 p.m. while the residents slept. Once the couple awoke, Knight used a pole to repeatedly strike the man, Sheriff Matthew Wade said.

Wade said Knight used the same pole to damage one of the couple’s vehicles in what seemed to be a romantic feud. She fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Wade said Knight was arrested Sunday morning. Court records show that Knight is charged with assault and burglary, classified as second-degree domestic violence. She was released on $15,000 bond Monday.
