An Anniston man was charged with theft and assault after he repeatedly rammed a woman’s vehicle with his own Saturday morning, officials said Tuesday.

Brandon Shane Moore, 24, remained in Calhoun County Jail Tuesday with a combined $60,000 bond for the two charges.

Calhoun County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at Honeywell Aerospace on Cliff Garrett Drive around 4:30 a.m. after a woman called to report her vehicle had been hit several times, Wade said.

“A woman was driving to work at Honeywell when she noticed a vehicle approaching from behind,” he said. “That vehicle struck the rear of her vehicle as she was driving on Cliff Garrett Drive. As she was struck and attempted to stop the vehicle struck her again.”

Wade said the woman tried to enter the secured employee parking lot but the vehicle struck hers again for a third time.

“The victim exited her vehicle and ran,” Wade said. “The suspect exited his vehicle and entered the victim’s vehicle and attempted to drive off.”

Deputies and Oxford police were soon able to stop the vehicle and detained Moore and Anniston police later arrived on scene, the sheriff said.

“The suspect was in an incident at Club Pure in Anniston where he struck other vehicles moments before driving to Oxford,” Wade said.

The woman involved did not know Moore.

“It was a random act,” the sheriff said.
